A number of onilne records, including Find-a-Grave, state Joseph's parents are Benjamin and Mary (Davis) Lumbard. However, Barnstable records have that Joseph's birthdate as March 19, 1755, while this gravestone states "in the 32nd year of his age" which would make his birthdate closer to 1752/53. The 1755 birthdate would make him in his "29th year." Amos Otis' genealogy has his birthyear as 1752. More research is required.
